Deformed Cat That Looks Like Kangaroo Hops Into Internet’s Hearts.

Arizona resident Cortney Adams couldn’t have struggled all that hard to come up with a name for the newest resident of her family. He looks like a kangaroo, he hops like a kangaroo, and he’s small, just like a joey or baby kangaroo, but he is no kangaroo. He’s a cat!

Joey Roo has a condition called radial dysplasia, which results in malformed arms. Cortney adopted him from the Humane Society in Tucson, Arizona in mid-2013, when he was still a kitten. She’s been documenting this frisky feline’s adventures on social media for years, and by doing so, hopes to inspire others to adopt their own disabled animals.

“Being born without front legs has taught me that life isn’t about appearances, it’s about what you make of life and your adventures,”Joey Roo says on his Facebook page.

Do you think this spunky six-year-old lets a little thing like having nubs for arms slow him down? Not by a long shot.

Joey Roo’s a real trooper, climbing his six-foot-tall cat tree with a nimbleness that belies his disability, climbing stairs, jumping up on the furniture and batting around his toys just like his able-bodied counterparts:

He’s extremely affectionate, Cortney says, and gets along with people as well as any foster animals she takes in (they’re good company and make great wrestling partners).

But if that’s not enough to convince you to consider bringing a disabled pet into your home, take a look at the video below, which shows Joey Roo scooting around in the most adorable fashion in his custom-made wheels.

How long do you think it’ll take for him to learn how to pop a wheelie?
