The novel coronavirus pandemic has altered several milestones for these seniors, including their last prom. But thanks to John Krasinski, the class of 2020 still had an unforgettable night!

On April 17, Krasinski hosted a virtual prom on his YouTube show “Some Good News.” Joining the self-appointed DJ on the live stream were several special guests, including “The Office” costar Rainn Wilson, Chance the Rapper, the Jonas Brothers, and Billie Eilish!
“They did not show up for me,” Krasinski told his viewers. “They showed up all for you.
We are all going through this together. This is a very very weird time, but each and every one of you are missing something and this is the least I could do. And I couldn’t be more proud to do it.

Not only did students have a blast dressing up and dancing at home, but they were also treated to performances from the Jonas Brothers and Eilish and Finneas O’Connell.
While it wasn’t the prom most teens pictured, for many of them, it turned out even better!

Senior Jenna Bernhard of Houston, Texas, thanked Krasinski for turning her disappointment into an incredible experience, calling it “the best prom ever.”
“I’ve been really torn up about how senior year ended,” she wrote. “But prom with my bestie on FaceTime, JOHN FREAKING KRASINSKI, AND my favorite artists @jonasbrothers AND @billieeilish was AMAZING.”

Since “Some Good News” began, Krasinski has become the hero we didn’t know we needed. What a beautiful way to acknowledge these students’ heartache and help make it right! Keep spreading hope and positivity, Krasinski. We appreciate it more than you know!
