If you’re a fan of Full House, you’ll remember how important Uncle Joey and Uncle Jesse’s friendship was. Played by Dave Coulier and John Stamos, the men were dramatic foils whose love for one another was stronger than their differences. Joey was silly and funny, while Jesse was more serious and focused on the ladies. He spent plenty of time on his hair and made sure there was nary a strand out of place. In real life, Dave Coulier and John Stamos are just as close as the characters they played on TV. After Dave’s recent cancer diagnosis, John made sure his friend knew he was in his corner.

Dave Coulier And John Stamos Got Together For A Fun Photo Shoot
Dave’s sense of humor helps him through tough times, so John knows just what to do. He posted pics of the pair. In them, Dave was newly bald, and John wore a bald cap.
John wrote, “Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier. You’re handling this with so much strength and positivity—it’s inspiring. I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you.”
Most fans loved it.
Like this one who wrote, “You’re the sweetest @johnstamos and Dave you’ve got this more with @melissacoulier by your side. Praying for you Dave.”
But some took the gesture the wrong way and thought that if John Stamos really wanted to support Dave Coulier, he’d actually shave his head.
Dave clapped back to the haters on Instagram. He wrote a post that reads in part, “I’m sorry to see a bunch of negative comments as I’ve just begun my cancer journey. It’s our friendship (me and John), and this is how we are handling a very tough time. I’m a comedian, and humor what drives me. John knows how to cheer me up and I laughed out loud when he arrived wearing a bald cap—being a true loving fan and brother.
Kelly Rizzo, Bob Saget’s widow, got the joke and shared her support in the comments. She wrote, “If people truly understood how much John loves Dave, then no one would say anything negative. I can only imagine Bob would’ve been right there next to you guys—helping and cracking jokes.”
