We have told many happy Disney stories at InspireMore. People love amusement parks. In Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, there awaits the ride to end all rides. The Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride is an adventure you won’t see anywhere else. Don’t read the reviews. Just go. This is something you must see and experience for yourself.

Okay, maybe that video wasn’t the greatest advertisement. They could have used a night vision setting on their camera, and then we could have seen thrilling sights for ourselves. But, alas, the ride is VERY dark, so you can’t see much beyond the jump scare bits.
That might be a godsend if you check the reviews. According to many Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride visitors, the animatronics are old and poorly maintained. Several have visible missing bits and pieces, while others seem to have dinosaur hide hanging off the framework. One Reddit poster refers to the hanging hides as “leprosy.”
On a website dedicated to tourism in the Smoky Mountains, the review is scathing and unapologetic:
“The ride is old and poorly maintained, but kids the right age and maybe even their parents could have fun here. If you’re used to Disney World quality, though, skip this attraction in favor of another Pigeon Forge activity.”

If you want a video tour of the Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride, these vloggers take you through the entire ride. It’s a long video, so skip to the 11:05 mark to hear the hilarious review at the end. You won’t be sorry.
Online reviews range from five stars to one star (because there is no zero-star rating). From ThrillRide, “Don’t listen to those people. The validity of their opinions notwithstanding, you must ride the Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride.” Families with young kids seem to love it, while adults are less enthusiastic.
Please share if you want to go on the Jurassic Jungle Boat Ride to see if it is THAT bad. It’s on my bucket list!
