Keith Urban Has A Wild High School Story Of His Own

Keith Urban, who just released his newest album, High, on September 20, sat down with Kelly Clarkson and told her an unbelievable story. Kelly wanted to know who Keith’s favorite music teacher was when he was a kid. He didn’t hesitate for a second and said, “Mrs. Grimmer.”

Keith was in 10th grade studying music, but much of his final grade was based on his ability to read music. He and many of his friends couldn’t do that, so Mrs. Grimmer came up with a plan.

“But we were all gonna fail music because it was all theory-based,” he explained “She wrote an entire play for us to perform, and we were gonna be graded on the play and the performance. Everybody did it.”

At the end of the year, the whole class got together and performed this fantastic play, and it went off without a hitch. That was until the principal told them it didn’t qualify as part of the curriculum, and he “failed music,” he said.

Kelly chimed in in shock, “Hilarious! That’s like Neil DeGrasse Tyson failing science.”

Fans of the show loved seeing Kelly and Keith together, leaving comments on Kelly’s YouTube channel.

One wrote, “Well what did it for me is the music staff on a music sheet my brain was like noooooope lol so yeah I can relate to what he is talking about.”

“We love Keith Urban and Kelly Clarkson,” a fan cheered.
