The holidays are a wonderful time for family and friends, but alas, they have to end at some point, and we must return to our everyday lives. Christmas is officially over, and some people mourn the loss of presents, elves, cookies, and carols. Others can’t wait to ring in the new year and get rid of all the red and green. The Bacon family is ready to pack up the decorations and move on to something else. Kevin Bacon, 66, and his wife Kyra Sedgwick, 59, shared a funny song bidding goodbye to Santa Claus and his friends. Travis Bacon, 35, and Sosie Bacon, 32, joined their parents on Instagram as Kevin sang, “Christmas is over not a moment too soon. Now we don’t have to listen to any more Christmas tunes.”

Kevin Bacon Sang A Song That Sounded Pretty Familiar
His family’s song was set to the tune of John Lennon’s Happy Xmas.
Sosie sang, “Frosty has melted. There’s no jingle bells. Because Rudolph is in rehab. There’s no Christmas smells.”
And Travis crooned, “We can all stop listening to little drummer boys. We can all stop glistening. Let’s un-deck the halls.”
Kyra closed the song strong with, “Yes Christmas is over. It’s no longer white,” Kyra sang. “They’ll restart the torture on Thanksgiving night.”
It’s no surprise Kevin Bacon fans loved the family’s song.
One wrote, “Love the Bacon Family Blues band. Kyra has a real future in smart-ass rock. Love her delivery. Can’t wait for New Year’s to be over! Play on.”
This person agreed, “Thank you Kevin I love this song. Beautiful interpretation. Thanks to all of you.”
This fan hasn’t finished celebrating and will hold on to Kevin Bacon’s song until next week. “Thank you, guys. Our Christmas is after the NY, so I’ll be listening to your song again, soon!”
