KFC announced in a news release that potato wedges would return to the menu for a limited time in five Florida locations, and if they do well, they’ll return to all menus permanently.
“After five years of fan demands and petitions, KFC is answering the call by offering Tampa another taste. Will KFC Potato Wedges make a full comeback? That’s up to you, Tampa! Fan-favorite KFC Potato Wedges are crispy on the outside, deliciously fluffy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. They’re made for scooping up KFC’s rich, savory gravy or enjoying with KFC’s Comeback Sauce – a creamy, zesty, craveable sauce,” the release explains.
If KFC Fans Want Potato Wedges Back On The Menu Permanently, They Have To Show It
“Our fans have commented, tweeted, and even petitioned for the return of KFC Potato Wedges, and we’re thrilled to deliver on those feisty requests to bring them back to Tampa for a short time,” Catherine Tan Gillespie, President, KFC U.S. said in a release. “Tampa, it’s up to you if we bring them back nationally. No pressure!”
Snackolator shared the news on Instagram, and fans got excited.
One wrote, “Getting rid of them was a huge disaster. They were my favorite fries in all of fast food. Glad they’ll be returning.”
