Each state in the U.S. has scenarios that feel very specific to them, even if they can happen in other places. For example, stumbling across a “bark show” while walking down the streets of NYC. Then there’s Alaska — this large state is home to a number of gorgeous wildlife, including moose. There are so many, in fact, that there are tips on how to spot one in less than an hour.

Most of the time, your best bet is to head toward rivers and streams near marshy clearings. This is where Alaskan moose prefer to spend their time, usually in the morning or evening. That said, you never know when you’ll cross paths when one while casually driving down the road! That’s exactly what happened to a woman named Tania. Massive Moose Turns Heads as He Casually Takes a Stroll Across a Busy Road in Alaska

Can you imagine what it would be like to cross paths with a moose that huge? In addition to the excitement, there’s also the fear of the animal crossing the road safely. Thankfully, everyone on the road stayed alert to the creature, allowing them to get to where they were going in peace. And in doing so, the moose has garnered quite a few fans online.

“It’s his home in Alaska, he got the right of way,” someone in the comment section of the video jokingly points out, with another person adding, “At least he was on the crosswalk.”
