For many women, the relationship Lorelai, Emily, and Rory Gilmore shared was considered “goals.” The women loved each other unconditionally and could—usually— look past their differences to appreciate their uniqueness. Gilmore Girls originally ran from 2000 to 2007, and many were sad when the show went away. We got a reboot in 2016 with Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, but fans continue to thirst for more.

“Gilmore Girls” Stars Lauren Graham Kelly Bishop Were Recently Spotted Together
Lauren Graham, 57, who played Lorelai, and Kelly Bishop, 80, who played her mother, Emily, reunited in New York for a discussion about Kelly’s new memoir, The Third Gilmore Girl. Lauren moderated while Kelly discussed her book and her role as Emily Gilmore. In a video posted to TikTok, Lauren gushed about the opportunity to be a TV mom once again.
“I feel so happy and proud,” Lauren said. “This book is just incredible, you are just incredible. Any excuse to see you — but to be here together is just something I would never miss.”
Kelly told People that after so many years in the business, she can look back on fond memories with gratitude.
“What impressed me probably about the whole thing is how very, very fortunate I’ve been, not only in the jobs I’ve gotten, but what happened to those jobs,” she said. “I wasn’t looking for a gift. I was looking for an interesting job … I’ve been very, very fortunate.”
While there’s no word on another reboot right now, the stars of the original Gilmore Girls loved their time together. In 2020, Lauren posted on X her love for her fans during the 20th anniversary of the show,
“Your kindness and devotion to this show have brought me so much joy over the years. I’m so grateful, to say the least, and I love you all.”
