Ryan Reynold’s Surprises One Of Biggest Fans

Nash is an eight-year-old boy suffering from rhabdomyosarcoma. Solving Kids Cancer shared the following about this form of cancer.

“This is the most common type of soft tissue sarcoma in children and accounts for nearly 5 percent of childhood cancers. It develops in the skeletal muscles, which are formed from cells called rhabdomyoblasts. Though it can affect anyone, it primarily occurs in children under four years of age.”

Nash is a huge fan of both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. A video on Twitter caught the special moment where Ryan Reynolds surprised this little cancer warrior. Nash’s mom revealed that she and Reynolds had been following one another on Twitter for quite some time.

Along with her post about the incredible moment, she wrote, “Today was a fairytale. 💛,” adding, “Fun fact: Ryan Reynolds and I have followed each other on Twitter for years. Sent him a pic of Nash’s custom ‘Deadpool’ radiation mask, he replied he wanted to come meet him in Boston.”

Deadpool And Wolverine Make A Child’s Day

The video on X shows Nash’s pure joy and surprise as Ryan Reynolds walked into his room. The pair shared a hug and looked at a custom-decorated mask. Then, Ryan decided to call his friend Hugh Jackman.

Once he got his friend on the phone, Ryan told Hugh Jackman, “I’m at a Boston hospital with a kid named Nash. He’s the coolest kid you’ll ever meet, and he’s going to watch Deadpool & Wolverine soon.”Later,” he joked. “And he probably doesn’t even know who you are!”

Have no fear Wolverine, this cancer warrior knows exactly who you and Ryan Reynolds both are.

After all of the excitement, Ryan made sure to let Nash know just how incredible he really was. PEOPLE shared some of the incredible things he said to this young boy battling cancer. First, he validated just how intense Nash’s life experiences have been so far.

He said, “Everything you’ve gone through—that is a lot for an eight-year-old kid to shoulder. I hope you know that.” From there, he went on to tell Nash that the determination and strength he is developing will be beneficial one day.

“Everything you’re going through today, I promise you, it’s gonna be incredibly useful,” he added.

While Nash may have been dealt a difficult hand, it is great to see this little cancer fighter meet his idol, Ryan Reynolds. Best wishes to him on his healing journey.
