Little sisters, take note: this is how you make a quinceanera speech.

A quinceanera is a special party thrown for girls around their fifteenth birthdays in many Latin cultures. The celebration is meant to welcome girls into young womanhood, and it’s a great opportunity for families to gather and have a good time together. And for the little sister in the video below, it’s also a great opportunity to air some grievances with her big sis.

Aneesha was invited to give a speech as at her sister Natasha’s quinceanera, and she was not about to blow it. The eleven-year-old came prepared to get a few jabs in — in good fun — and her routine was so good, it had the whole crowd rolling in the aisles!
Fed up with a lifetime of receiving Natasha’s hand-me-downs, Aneesha begins her speech by lambasting her sister’s extensive wardrobe and spending habits. “You enter her closet and it’s like walking into Nordstrom’s,” the spunky young woman says with a wink. “You enter mine, and it’s like you’ve entered Goodwill.”

Anyone who grew up in the shadow of an older sibling can relate to that notion! The oldest always get the new stuff, and the younger kids just have to make do with whatever is left when they hit their next growth spurt.
“Every single piece of clothing that I have, whether it’s a pair of pants, whether it’s a tee shirt, whether it’s underwear, it has been worn by this girl,” Aneesha continues. That wouldn’t be such a big deal, except Natasha is much taller than Aneesha, so it takes about seven years before the little sister gets her paws on that castaway clothing.
“Have you seen her height? She’s like a character from ‘Jack & The Beanstalk.’ No, not the giant — the beanstalk,” Aneesha says, and the whole room erupts with laughter.

The way she waits a beat before delivering the punchline is so good, it’s like watching a miniature stand-up comedian up there! This kid has already got the sort of comedic timing that some actors never master! She’s also got pretty impressive stage presence for someone her age.
Watch Aneesha take her sister down a few pegs in the video below, and be sure to share with someone who totally understands what it’s like to be a younger sibling!
