Many of us still harbor childhood dreams of building our own tree house or log cabin, but the closest most of us will get to that is Minecraft.

However, YouTuber Shawn James decided to make his log cabin dream a reality, and he documented his incredible project in a time-lapse video.
Shawn’s wooden home was built “alone in the Wilderness of Canada.” He dubbed it a “primitive log cabin” because it was built without the aid of modern machinery or electric tools.

The video shows the spot where the cabin was built from the ground up over a period of about a month.

As Shawn explained,
“The cabin is made of cedar fence posts, twelve feet long and the cabin measures 10 feet x 20 feet inside with a one hundred square foot sleeping loft on the second floor. The floor is made of two-inch thick pine planks, torched to help repel water and to give them a rustic barn board appearance.”

The end result is a beautiful, hand-built home that would make even the most skilled Minecraft player jealous! To see the entire video of the unique project, click below.
