If you’ve ever attempted to solve a Rubik’s cube, you know how frustrating it can be!

While it seems like a simple puzzle to solve, arranging the cube so that each side is the same color is downright impossible for most people. Then again, most people aren’t magician Maddox Dixon of Buckingham, England.
On a recent episode of “Britain’s Got Talent,” Maddox explained that “magic has always been a dream of mine,” which is why he took a leap of faith last year and decided to pursue a career in magic.

Maddox has already had more success than most aspiring magicians. After getting the attention of Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, Maddox was invited to open for the band on their “Head Full Of Dreams” tour in the United States. So he’s already adept at performing his stunning magic tricks in front of thousands of awe-struck fans!

The thirty-one-year-old magician specializes in card tricks, mentalism, and sleight of hand. For his “BGT” audition, he decided to pull out an old childhood favorite, the Rubik’s cube, to impress judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Walliams.

Maddox began his act by rearranging his cube by color, all without ever touching the squares with his hands. The judges were already picking their jaws up off the floor, but Maddox wasn’t done yet!

Next, he asked Simon to place the cube down with one color facing upward, and cover it with a sheet. Then, he had Alesha hold out her hand, and lo’ and behold, it was Simon’s chosen color of white that appeared in Alesha’s hand.

The judges were absolutely gobsmacked! Maddox had one last trick up his sleeve. He brought Amanda up on stage and asked her to hold a mixed-up cube behind her back while concentrating on solving the cube without looking at it.
“It would be a bloody miracle!” Amanda said with a laugh.

Well, get ready for a miracle, folks, because believe it or not, when Amanda pulled the cube from behind her back, it was 100% solved.

The look on Simon’s face says what we’re all thinking: “What is even happening? Is this real life?!”

Needless to say, Maddox is on to the next round of the talent competition, and we’re all still trying to figure out how in the world he just did that!
