Key West, Florida, is an almost perfect place to live and work. It’s sunny and warm, and aside from the occasional inclement weather, it is nice year-round. For TikTok user VikingSioux, being a mail carrier in Key West has its joyful moments. Occasionally, she does experience some problems.

Her reaction makes us believe this is not her first encounter with these two critters. The rooster offers a happy crow to welcome the mail lady. She carries on a complete conversation with the bird. Then he politely hops down and scoots off across the lawn.
As the mail carrier checks the box, she discovers the rooster’s girlfriend hiding in the back. The little hen also hopped out and joined her fellow on the lawn. She calls the hen “Mama,” so you might wonder if she is laying eggs in the back of the box.
Handling random chickens on her route is “just another day” in the life of a Key West mail carrier. Chickens are some of the “normal” critters she might encounter while completing her daily route.
We didn’t see any gators in her videos, so there is that, but she enjoys many beautiful animals. Check out this peacock!
Going to work daily is a chore for most people, but enjoying your job makes it easier. Although her route never changes, it is always changing, so there is always something new to look forward to along the way. Her customers might see her as a Christmas elf when she isn’t dodging chickens and lizards. They like to set up jump scares for her at Halloween.
Being a mail carrier in Key West doesn’t seem like such a horrid way to live.
