In the clip, a baby squirrel scrambled out from under a bush, where their mother was waiting for them to return. When the child finally ran back, Mom quickly started rolling them into a little ball! It took a few tries, but she eventually got the younger creature into the perfect shape for carrying. Then, the squirrel expertly grabbed the baby with her mouth, easily transporting them across the grass in a neat parcel!

Commenters thought it was too funny seeing this mother pack up her little one like this.

“I’m absolutely losing it at the way she just rolled him up like a donut,” wrote one user.

Another added, “The way she folded him to be more travel-friendly.”

If you think this mama squirrel was impressive, though, you should see one of these animals carry their baby while climbing! Another person on social media caught some fantastic footage of the same child-transportation method happening on a tree. This clever squirrel easily packed her kid into a ball with her front paws while holding onto the bark with her back legs. Then, she held the baby in her mouth while scampering up the tree. Now that’s multitasking!

Wouldn’t it be cool if humans could roll up their kids and carry them in their mouths, too? That way, moms could keep both hands free for other tasks! Well, at least we have sling carriers, which are pretty much the next best thing.
