A man and a woman facing away from one another.

When this guy told his girlfriend that he wanted to film a social media trend with her, he wasn’t entirely honest about his motives. That’s because he was planning the sweetest surprise proposal ever! A man named Meet Sejpal decided on the most brilliant way to ask his partner to marry him. Although it took a lot of work and a bit of deception, we think the results were totally worth it!

Before popping the question, Meet asked his girlfriend to participate in a TikTok trend for couples that would involve a variety of different locations. Although this would make the filming process fairly lengthy, the video format itself was simple. In each destination, the pair would stand facing away from each other. Then, they would turn around at exactly the same time and clasp hands. You can probably already guess where this is going!

Once he’d laid the foundation for the most epic surprise proposal ever, Meet was ready to film the final clip. As usual, the pair started out standing in a beautiful location with their backs to one another. However, things went a little differently this time. While Meet’s girlfriend was getting ready to spin around, he was getting down on one knee! His partner was totally blown away when she turned to face him.

“Never let them know your next move,” Meet joked in the caption of his video.

Now, this pair has a heartwarming video of their romantic moment that they can look back on for many years to come.
