Dan Povenmire is best known as the creator of the animated children’s series, Phineas and Ferb. He’s also the creator of Hamster and Gretel. His daughter, Melissa (Meli) Povenmire, appears on the show as the voice of Gretel. How fun is that!

This year, Meli’s performance warranted an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Voice Performance in a Preschool, Children’s or Young Teen Program!

Getting to collaborate on a show with your family has got to be a special process. So it only made sense that the daughters’s Emmy nomination news came from Dad!

Dan shared the news on his TikTok, and hundreds of thousands of fans liked the clip. Many took to the comments to share their excitement.
