Man Without Legs “Defines The Word Inspiration” With His Athletic “AGT” Performance.

A two-photo collage. The first photo shows a side view of a man without legs, Zion, climbing a rope on the “AGT” stage. The audience and the judges can be seen behind him. The second photo is a top-down view of Zion climbing the rope.

Simon Cowell says that Zion Clark “defines the word inspiration,” a description that couldn’t be more fitting. Born with a rare birth defect called caudal regression syndrome, this 25-year-old from Ohio was born without legs. The struggles he faced were only amplified by being in the foster care system for the first 17 years of his life. Here, he experienced mental and physical abuse.

Just when he was about to age out of the system, Kimberly Hawkins took Zion into her home. This, quite literally, changed his life. With the love and support of his caring Mom, he was able to recognize the strength he has both physically and mentally. He joined competitive wrestling and, with time, became one of the top three wrestlers in Ohio.

Now, Zion has taken his talents to the “America’s Got Talent” stage where he showed off his athletic abilities. During his performance, a voiceover from Zion played where he talked more about his story and his desire to inspire others.

“We use the word amazing a lot, but I think it really applies to who you are,” Howie Mandel said. “And I want everybody to know you. You are very, very, very important.”
