If you are familiar with the area, you may recognize it as Hanging Rock. A waterfall is always active here — but this was no ordinary day. Usually, this waterfall is quite gentle. After Torrential Rain in Indiana, Residents Capture Massive Waterfall Going Over a Road
“I’ve literally never seen anything like this,” the passenger in the vehicle says, later adding, “I feel like that’s never been like that.”
Although the water is a murky brown from all the flooding, folks have still found it to be a breathtaking view. More importantly, of course, people are grateful that everyone was able to pass by the area safely. Roads like this can become deadly in a matter of seconds, and not just because of the water itself.
“Omg, y’all lucky that whole side of the mountain didn’t slide out,” someone writes in the comments, with another person adding, “I’d watch out for big rocks falling.”
So, although the rain has stopped for these places this week, and the flooding is getting better, folks are still being advised to take caution, especially if they have plans to travel near potentially flooded areas.
