Matthew McConaughey’s Hysterically Strange Behavior While Filming Super Bowl Commercial “Scared” Martha Stewart

Kate Hudson starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days in 2003. Twenty-two years later, 83-year-old Martha Stewart shared the small screen with Matthew McConaughey and a host of other stars for a 2025 Super Bowl ad for Uber Eats. Kate guest starred on Martha’s podcast, Martha Stewart, recently and shared her thoughts on Matthew’s acting with Kate.

Martha called Mathew a “method actor” and admitted his performance got to her a bit. Martha said, “He got me scared, actually. He scared me.”

It was Matthew’s sounds and movements that got to the DIY maven.

“He’s grunting and breathing and jumping up and down,” Martha said. “That scared me.”

Martha Stewart Wondered What Kate Hudson Thought of Matthew McConaughey’s Acting Style

The 45-year-old admitted he does make “weird sounds” and does “crazy things” on set. But Kate told Martha, “You get used to it after the first couple of weeks.”

Martha joked that after that much time, “You probably just wanted to tell him to shut the hell up.”

Kate added that Matthew is fantastic to work with, and she enjoyed it very much. “McConaughey’s like one of the most fun people to work with because energetically we’re both very competitive. We have this thing when we’re working together that’s really fun,” she said. “Also, we’re both very flirtatious … He’s super charismatic.”
