McDonald’s fans have been gobbling up their burgers for years. It’s quick, easy, and doesn’t break the bank. Fans of the Golden Arches aren’t just in it for the beef, though. A lot of people want chicken when they go to McDonald’s. They offer McNuggets and a variety of sandwiches, but a beloved item went away in 2016, and fans never forgave Ronald and his friends for betraying them. The Snack Wrap was everything to a legion of fans who’ve missed it dearly for almost a decade. According to Today, McDonald’s knows that bird is the word, and they plan to make big moves in 2026.

“We’re excited about the significant opportunity we see within our chicken portfolio and see the potential to add another point of chicken market share by the end of 2026,” McDonald’s President, Chairman, and CEO Chris Kempczinski said on the Q4 earnings call, per Today. “This year, there is incredible energy for the return of Snack Wraps in the U.S., along with a few other markets.”
McDonald’s Won’t Say Exactly When The Chicken Snack Wrap Will Return
In addition to Snack Wraps, McDonald’s will bring back the Chicken Big Mac and expand the distribution of the McCrispy chicken sandwich. Rumor has it that McDonald’s will offer chicken strips in the near future, too. But when remains a mystery.
Today reported that Kempczinski declined to give details to chicken-starved fans.
“My U.S. team would kill me if I gave any more details about the when and the exact specifics of how we’re going to plan on doing that, but certainly expect that to come online later in the year,” he said.
In December, McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger confirmed the return of the Snack Wrap in 2025.
He told ABC News, “The Snack Wrap will be back in 2025. It has a cult following, I get so many emails into my inbox about this product.”
