McDonald’s Snack Hack DO Try This At Home

Snackolator, a food blogger and snack reviewer on Instagram, just shared McDonald’s new snack hack. Although it sounds strange, it’s been gaining popularity across the globe. Enter the hash brown OREO McFlurry sandwich!

The idea behind this McDonald’s snack hack came from Australia. People there began ordering hash browns and ice cream from the popular fast food chain and making them into a sort of ice cream sandwich. In the caption, Snackolator explains the appeal of this odd snack hack.

“The idea is that you get the salty and sweet combo much like the popular Wendy’s Frosty and fries combo,” it reads.

If you want to try this new McDonald’s snack hack, do not go and order the hash brown OREO McFlurry sandwich, as it is not an official menu item. Instead, you can order two hash browns and your choice of ice cream. If you want to replicate the popular snack hack choice, choose the OREO McFlurry ice cream flavor, or be bold and experiment with your own. Then, create the sandwich yourself by placing the ice cream in between the two hash browns.

The Internet Is Divided

Although this McDonald’s snack hack seemed popular in Australia and is being promoted in Singapore, people here have mixed feelings about it. Some seem completely on board and cannot wait to try the salty-sweet snack.

One user commented, ” Use to do this and dip my fries in the ice cream and the McFlurry back in 2000 literally 😂 80s baby type ish.”

Another added, “The perfect combination of Salty and Sweet.”

However, not all of the comments were positive. Some seemed hesitant to try the new snack hack and others appeared downright disgusted by the idea.

Oner user commented, “It has to be April 1st, right? 🗓️👀.”

Another added, “That’s not a hack – that’s a mistake 🤦‍♂️.”

A third shared, “#ObesityHack 😮”

Several other comments made fun of this McDonald’s snack hack for the fact that it requires ice cream and their machine is known for being broken. Would you try this McDonald’s snack hack?
