McDonald’s Makes A Big And Delicious Breakfast Announcement

McDonald's Breakfast

McDonald’s breakfast fans who want more out of life than a biscuit or English muffin have cause to celebrate. The fast food giant announced on February 25 that bagel sandwiches will now be available nationwide. This came as a welcomed surprise to many McDonald’s fans who dreamed of having bagels back in their lives. Some enthusiasts even started a Facebook group, “Where’s my McDonald’s Bagel,” to help track the treat to restaurants near them.

McDonald’s made the announcement about breakfast in a news release. “At McDonald’s, breakfast isn’t just a meal; it’s a cherished tradition and cornerstone of our brand,” said McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger. “Every morning when we open our doors, we are a breakfast restaurant. Whether it’s my personal favorite, the Egg McMuffin, or our crispy Hash Browns, fluffy hotcakes, or sweet and savory McGriddles, we’re all about giving our customers the best start to their day. Our fans know they can always count on us for a one-of-a-kind breakfast experience, anchored in great value and high-quality ingredients.”

McDonald’s Breakfast Will Celebrate 50 Years In 2025

Ray Kroc revolutionized breakfast when he introduced the Egg McMuffin in 1975. A franchisee named Herb Peterson invented the sandwich, and everything changed when Ray got ahold of it.

“When I watched my father introduce this idea to Ray Kroc, we could not have anticipated it would become the foundation for the renowned McDonald’s breakfast menu,” Herb Peterson’s son and McDonald’s Owner/Operator David Peterson said in a news release. “It’s been remarkable to see people embrace this innovation over the last five decades, and now we get to share that heritage with a new generation of breakfast fans.”

On March 2, fans can celebrate National Egg McMuffin Day with an Egg McMuffin or Sausage McMuffin with Egg breakfast sandwich for just $1, available exclusively through the McDonald’s App on Sunday, March 2.
