Michael J. Fox Has Joined Coldplay For Several Performances In The Past
He stuck around to strum for Humankind and Fix You before Chris admitted that Michael was the inspiration behind Coldplay.
“The main reason we’re in a band is because of Back to the Future,” he shared. “So thank you to Michael, our hero.”
Footage by BBC shows that Michael nailed the songs as well as lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, and the fans appreciated his cameo just as much as Michael appreciated having it.
The Glastonbury event wasn’t Michael’s first with Coldplay. In 2013, the band played for a Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research fundraiser, and the duo recreated the iconic Johnny B. Goode scene from Back to the Future. In 2016, he also met Chris Martin in New Jersey where they played Earth Angel and another rendition of Johnny B. Goode during a concert at Metlife stadium.
