Michael J. Fox’s moving performances with Coldplay on Saturday night were just as emotional for him as they were for his fans.
The actor took to social media on Sunday afternoon (June 30) to share his overwhelming gratitude to the people who made the night possible and reflect on the feelings he had while onstage.
In an Instagram post, Michael shared several photos and a video from his time in Glastonbury and penned a brief caption about the experience.
“My team : Lauren, John and Jeff and Steve,” he began. “Glastonbury all the love and thanks to the @coldplay team, who took such great care of us. And many thanks to Chris, Will, Johnny, Guy and Phil.”
“Oh yeah, in case you were wondering…it was f*cking mind-blowing,” he continued. “There is a time for every band and a band for every time. This is @coldplay’s time. More pics to come.”
Coldplay And Michael J. Fox Surpise Crowd In England
Michael J. Fox joined Coldplay for two songs while the band played for a massive crowd in Glastonbury, England on June 29. The actor brought out his electric guitar and proved that he has amazing skills as he jammed to Humankind and Fix You. Videos of his performances are spinetingling.
Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, who has performed with Michael on several occasions, noted that the actor’s legendary Johnny B. Goode scene from Back to the Future inspired him to form his band. So the opportunity to play with him was more than special.
“The main reason we’re in a band is because of Back to the Future,” he told the roaring crowd. “So thank you to Michael, our hero.”
