The funny-looking Shih Tzu dog breed has been around for at least 1,000 years. Records show that its ancestors were in China as far back as 1000 B.C. The Shih Tzu originally hails from Tibet. Early versions were bred with Pekinese or Pug to create the breed we have today. The name means “Little Lion.”

The Shih Tzu immigrated to European nations and then to the United States via military personnel. These furry little fluff balls are amazingly popular. The breed is small, weighing only 9 to 16 pounds as adults. The average height ranges from 8 to 11 inches, and they enjoy a 10 to 16-year lifespan. They can be identified by their long, flowing, and fast-growing coats. Shih Tzus come in a wide variety of colors, including chocolate. And that brings us to our focus for the day, George Cowboy.
Georgie is a chocolate Shih Tzu with more personality than size. He is a very energetic little animal with the ability to fly. You think we’re joking, but he does fly like Superman.

Another nickname for the star of the show is “Wookiee boy.” This little fluff ball bears a striking resemblance to the giant Wookie of Star Wars fame. Although, sometimes, he seems more closely related to the tiny Ewoks.

George Cowboy flies more than anything. Seriously, George gets more air time than an airplane pilot flying non-stop around the world. Kudos to the camera operator for catching so many in-flight pictures.

Following George Cowboy on TikTok means you’ll have a good laugh handy whenever needed. This funny Shih Tzu is full of vim and vinegar.
