Mom Accidentally Captures Baby’s First Steps On Camera

A mom stands with a vacuum in hand. She looks down in shock and awe at her baby who is starting to stand

There are incredible moments that make us think, “Darn, I wish I had caught that on camera!” It seems that, when you’re a parent, these moments happen quite often. That’s probably why so many parents have endless photos and videos of their little ones on their phones! In any case, not every moment can be captured forever. But luckily for one mom, she just so happened to be recording when her baby took her first steps!

According to Mom, she was hoping to record a video that would accompany a popular sound used on social media. While we don’t know what that sound was, what we do know is that it involved Mom vacuuming. Meanwhile, her little one sat nearby, watching closely. But just as Mom got into the groove of things with her vacuum, her baby took the video in an entirely new direction…

In an instant, the baby goes from staring up at Mom to lifting herself on her feet. The look of absolute shock and awe in Mom’s eyes is priceless. It’s clear that her child has never ever done anything like this before. It takes a second for the moment to sink in. But once it does, Mom drops everything, encouraging her little one to walk!

Needless to say, the new sound added to the video (which comes from the popular kids’ show, Bluey) is priceless. The only thing that can start to compare to the shock of this moment is knowing how many people have watched it — 66 million!

When This Baby Unexpectedly Takes Her First Steps, She Captures the Attention of Millions

“The first steps witnessed by a number of people equal to the population of the United Kingdom,” Mom points out in the caption of her video.

First-step videos are some of the best on social media. It’s amazing how often babies start to walk when their parents least expect it. Heck, sometimes they do so as if they’ve been walking their whole life!
