Mom-To-Be Asks For Books Instead Of Cards For Baby Shower And The Results Are Too Sweet

One creative mom-to-be came up with a unique idea for her baby shower: instead of bringing cards, guests were asked to bring children’s books. This ended up being so much cuter than even Mom could have imagined! Every picture book came with a handwritten inscription for the baby to read when he’s older. How adorable is that?

Alena has since had her baby, and she says that she loves reading out loud to him. Thanks to all the books this mom received during her baby shower, she has plenty to choose from! However, the best part for her is reading her son the notes from his loved ones.

In an adorable TikTok post, Alena shared some of the beautiful books her friends and family brought for her baby shower. The inscriptions within the pages are so heartwarming!

Inside a copy of Love You Forever, one cousin wrote, “The best imaginations come to life in books. I wish you a life filled with amazing stories and beautiful memories!”

“Sweet boy,” another message read, “I hope you know how loved you are, and how high you can fly.”

One relative decided to bring her own favorite kids’ book to the baby shower for the child to read one day.

“Enjoy this book!” she wrote inside. “This was my fav book when I was a little girl.”

In the comments section, many viewers loved this mom-to-be’s brilliant baby shower idea! Others shared some of their own experiences with receiving inscribed books from their loved ones.

“I am requesting this for my shower also,” one person wrote.

Another added, “I have a copy of ‘Love You Forever’ that my aunt wrote in and my dad used to read to me and now it lives in my Kindergarten classroom.”
