Sitting in front of the camera, this mom’s boyfriend started the conversation by bringing up the couple’s upcoming trip to Santa Barbara. He revealed that, while they were traveling together, he wanted to pop the question.
“I’m going to ask your mom to marry me,” he told the child.
At this, the little girl’s eyes went wide, but she didn’t say anything yet. This conscientious boyfriend went on to explain that he’d gotten the blessing of her mom’s parents, aka her grandparents. However, there was still one more person he had to check in with.
“So I talked to Grandma and Papa already, and they told me yeah, it was ok,” he said. “But you are the most important person in your mom’s life, and so I need to ask for your permission.”
This little girl had the best reply for her mom’s boyfriend.
In response, the young girl gave her new stepdad-to-be a big thumbs up! She had one small concern, though. Had this man checked with his own mother?
“My mom’s ok with that, yeah,” he reassured her.
Next, it was time for this boyfriend to show the little girl her mom’s engagement ring. She was totally enraptured by the beautiful piece of jewelry, which came in a light-up box. This heartwarming video ended in a beautiful hug between the stepfather and stepdaughter-to-be!
If you’re wondering whether or not Mom accepted her boyfriend’s proposal, she has posted plenty of stories about their engagement online. So, that’s a yes! We’re so happy for this lovely couple.
