When we see homeless people on the streets, we can’t help but sympathize with their plight. But unfortunately, not many of us are in the position to do more than donate a few dollars or buy them a hot meal.

Jimmy Donaldson, on the other hand, has the power to turn people’s lives around – and he’s more than happy to use it. Better known as MrBeast, he’s more than earned his nickname as “YouTube’s biggest philanthropist.” Since the launch of his channel, Jimmy has donated more than $1 million to strangers and friends alike.

If that isn’t generous enough, Jimmy’s latest act of kindness tops all of that. In February, he took away an old man’s biggest burden.
Jimmy’s friend, Chandler, has a special place in his heart for a man he calls Brother Bobby. The 79-year-old took care of him when he was a little boy. So when he heard Bobby was struggling, he knew he had do something – and Jimmy was completely on board. After Bobby was hit by a car, the medical bills stacked up and he could no longer work. He couldn’t afford rent either, and was facing eviction, about to become homeless.

So, using money he earns from sponsorships, Jimmy bought Bobby a home. Or, rather, he paid for the first year of rent, utilities, and other expenses on a new place for Bobby to help him get back on his feet. But he wasn’t finished there. While Chandler took Bobby out to get new clothes, Jimmy and his friends were busy getting the man’s surprise ready.

Not only did they buy appliances, furniture, and groceries to fill Bobby’s home, but they also bought him other comforts, including a big-screen TV! In a nutshell, they got everything Bobby might need, then loaded it all into a U-Haul and drove it to his place.

Chandler kept Bobby distracted while the others got to work setting everything up. When they were done, it looked like heaven compared to Bobby’s old, run-down apartment.

When they finally met up with Bobby, he was already grateful for his fun time out. “You made my day,” he told them. He had no idea about the huge surprise waiting for him.

Jimmy took Bobby to the front door of his new apartment, where upon opening it, he was greeted with the sight of brand-new everything. Then Jimmy shared the amazing news. “All this is mine?” Bobby asked as he looked around, incredulous.

“This is your new home,” Jimmy reassured him. Bobby couldn’t stop smiling as they gave him a tour of every room. “I’m in debt for a lifetime to all of you,” he said, with which, of course, everyone disagreed.

To be able to give such a life-changing gift to someone who needs it the most must be so incredibly gratifying. Now Bobby won’t have to worry about keeping a roof over his head. He can sit back and enjoy his golden years thanks to Jimmy’s kindness.
