Being confronted by your neighbor about your “nuisance” dog doesn’t always offer a warm fuzzy feeling. However, when the neighbor’s primary complaint is that she can’t stand the sight of your dog’s face, you must make it right. The neighbor’s problem was easy to define. The dog was a pitiful mess. The solution involved building a dog door.

With the neighbor’s complaint in mind, it was time to build a dog door in the fence that separated the two yards. The reason the white dog stared longingly under the fence was the neighbor’s own dog. The two animals desperately wanted to play together.
When the construction project began, both dogs waited eagerly. It was a grueling day hour, fraught with longing. When the project was complete, the two dogs promptly hopped into each others’ yards. They explored the new territory but quickly landed on the same side of the dog door, and the rest is history.
One quick construction project ended the neighbors’ complaints. Although the two happy dogs still poke their heads under the fence, the nonsense stops when a human opens the little gate between their worlds. The two dog friends play together as often as possible now.
The neighbors communicate via text message to schedule play dates. The only time the sad, pitiful dog muzzles appear under the fence is when the humans are too slow to open the dog door so the two besties can play together.
The dogs absolutely love life. They run and play until they tire one another out, then lie calmly, enjoying their time together. Life is now pure bliss.
