Some people seem as though they were born to participate in marathons. If you’re like me, then you are not one of those people. That said, if there is anything in this world that could convince me to reconsider, it would be Becks the NYC Marathon dog. This sweet pup is truly the definition of a good boy. He lives in New York City with his loving human, Cait. She shares lots of fun videos of the duo, but some of her best happen during a popular marathon.

Every year, since at least 2021, Cait has taken the time to cheer on folks in the NYC Marathon. Best of all, she doesn’t go alone. You can always find Becks right by her side, and he’s always just as excited to greet runners as Cait herself. Okay, so there’s a good chance he’s even more excited than her! Each year, Cait chooses a different theme for their signs, and this year had Becks getting so many “boops!” See for yourself in the insanely adorable video below!
@beckhamthegolden Best. boops. ever. Congrats NYC Marathoners!! You did it 🤩 #boop #nycmarathon #nycmarathon2024 #nyc #newyorkcity ♬ Everybody Wants To Rule The World X Electric Love – darcy stokes
Cait’s sign is simple: Just a cardboard box with the words “Boop for Zoomies” written on it. But what else do you need? I know if I saw that sign, there’s a good chance that’s where the race would end for me. But, of course, these marathon runners have the strength needed to only give Becks a single “boop” before continuing on, now much happier than before.
Becks Loves to Cheer On Runners in the NYC Marathon
Want to see Becks during the previous marathons? You’re in luck! The video below highlights some of his best moments over the years. But be warned: You might want to enter a marathon (or adopt a golden retriever) after this! Not that anyone could blame you, of course…

“He’s like, ‘wow they all came to love on me? this is great!'” someone in the comment section of the viral video shares, with another adding, “This pup was basically working as a therapy dog that day for those runners!! So amazing.”
