“Our Cousin’s Boyfriend Made A PowerPoint Presentation To Win Us Over Again After They Were Broken Up For Two Months”

A young man stands behind a counter, looking down at a laptop with a PowerPoint presentation open. The screen reads: I'M BACK

PowerPoint presentations are surprisingly useful. They come in handy for school projects and work, of course, but their use extends far beyond that. For example, a PowerPoint can be used to make an argument for adopting a new cat ASAP. They can even be used to deliver one of the wittiest best man speeches at a wedding.

Still, out of all the creative uses of a PowerPoint presentation, few are as unique as this one. According to a woman named Alli Collura, she had an unforgettable Thanksgiving thanks to her cousin’s boyfriend. The two of them had been broken up for two months but recently got back together. While we don’t know what happened between the two of them, what we do know is that he had some explaining to do…

And so this boyfriend did explain — with the use of a clever, funny PowerPoint presentation. In doing so, he was able to explain why they briefly broke up. He was also able to ask for forgiveness, giving us some insight into what may have been a messy split. Ultimately, though, the biggest reason for this elaborate presentation was to win over his girlfriend’s family… again.

“Should we accept him back again?” Alli jokingly asks in the caption of her post.

“This is actually the biggest green flag, public accountability and winning the family back over,” one person argues in the comments, with another suggesting, “There should’ve been a vote at the end, Survivor style to see if [he’s] allowed to stay.”

“This is so nice because it just clears the air and brings some humor to a potentially awkward situation,” a third person points out. “10/10 for accountability.”
