One artist was inspired to create a series of paintings based on the unusual things some people name their pets after, and the results are way too cute! This woman shared her unique portraits in a slideshow on social media. Each image ingeniously combined the pet’s face with the item they had been named after. We can’t get enough of these particularly imaginative creations!

“Painting pets but taking their names too literal,” the artist wrote at the beginning of her post.
In the first slide, the woman showed off her portrait of a cat named Pickles. She had cleverly painted the animal’s face on a pickle slice floating inside a jar. This adorable snack even had ears!
Next, the artist shared her painting of a pet who had been named after a plant. Obviously, she portrayed Lavender the cat as a sprig of this herb, the creature’s face appearing within the purple blooms. We’ve never seen such a purr-fect bouquet!
One project involved a pet with multiple names. Apparently, Tomatillo the cat also has a “legal name,” which is Thomas. However, for the purposes of her portrait, the artist chose to go with the animal’s produce-related name. She painted the cat’s face and ears onto a green tomatillo growing on a vine.
Finally, the woman concluded her slideshow with a picture of Apricot the bunny. As you can guess, her portrait reimagined this rabbit as the fruit they’d been named after. It’s not every day you see an apricot with whiskers!
