In life, we’ll face plenty of disappointments. But every once in a while, the stars align so perfectly, it’s hard to believe. One of these moments took place at the FEI World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle. This competition features a number of talented horses, including a 14-year-old named Vanilla Ice. This Lusitano stallion had been working hard with her owner, PJ Rizvi, in order to give the best performance.

As is the case with any good performances, Vanilla Ice needed to be accompanied by the perfect song. Luckily, her very name gave way to an amazing idea: Vanilla Ice’s popular hit, Ice Ice Baby. Having the horse compete to a song by the rapper with her name would have been amazing enough. But the real cherry on top was having the Vanilla Ice in the audience, cheering this duo on! “What’s the most iconic thing [you’ve] done this week?” someone in the comments write, imagining what PJ might say in reply. “Oh you know entered my horse named ‘Vanilla Ice’ in a dance battle to Ice Ice Baby while Vanilla Ice was in the crowd!!!”
The crowd is said to have gone wild for this duo — and we understand why! Both PJ and her horse have worked hard to reach this moment. In fact, a major injury once caused PJ to wonder if she’d ever compete again.

In other words, simply having the ability to enter the competition is reason alone for PJ to celebrate. That said, luckily, that was far from their only cause for celebration. Vanilla Ice came in third place, with the Vanilla Ice himself presenting the award!
