A flight attendant smiles as she runs down the aisle of the plane.

You never know when you’ll meet the love of your life. For Captain Konrad Hanc, it happened during a flight from Warsaw to Krakow. He was the pilot, and his future girlfriend, Paula, was a flight attendant. A year and a half after their chance encounter, the Polish pilot knew without a doubt what he needed to do next… ask her to be his wife! But before he could pop the question, he had to find the perfect way to do it. In the end, though, this pilot proposes in the most romantic way!

The plan starts with Konrad and Paula scheduled for a flight on the very same route they were on when they first met. This, along with the support of LOT Polish Airlines, helped set the day up for success. Konrad started the big moment by using the airplane intercom to announce that he had a very important message for a very important person…

“Ladies and gentlemen, about one and a half years ago in this job I met the most wonderful person that completely changed my life,” Konrad says through tears. “You are most precious to me. You are my greatest dream come true. This is why I have to ask you a favor, honey. Will you marry me?”

As soon as Konrad pops the question, Paula can be seen running down the aisle. Then, without hesitating, she dives into his arms for a much-needed kiss. Oh, and if it wasn’t already clear at this point, she said “yes!”

As thrilled as Paula was by this romantic moment, it’s clear that the passengers were also delighted to be involved. What an unforgettable moment for everyone on the flight that day! After such an amazing proposal, I can only imagine what the wedding will be like. Congratulations Konrad and Paul!
