Every family is unique. Some have an affinity for the arts. Others consider themselves athletic, like this family who took their 5-year-old son on a 2,100-mile hike. Then there are folks like Brittany Kellner’s family. Although they recognize that they aren’t the least bit athletic, they thought it would be fun to go on a hike together. The result? About as hilarious as you’d expect.

A number of family members joined this journey, as well as a single wiener dog. While the views were spectacular, the paths leading to these views were full of hurdles. It’s true that no one in Brittany’s family is athletic. That said, based on this perfectly edited video, it seems that it’s Mom who struggled the most. Luckily, she had plenty of help. The way they choose to help her is, perhaps, unconventional, but it works nonetheless!
This Family Hiking Trip Goes Just About as Well as You’d Imagine
“Who chose this trail? She will never let you forget this,” someone jokes in reply to the video, with another person adding, “The level of drama for stepping over that trickle of water.”
As much as Brittany and her family struggled during their hike, they also had a blast. Plus, Mom was able to persevere all the way up to the top of the mountain! Truly, an inspiration for all of us non-athletic folks.
“If she’s anything like me (for I too, am her on a hike!),” someone else admits in the comments, “She’ll remember this moment and deny all knowledge of the struggle to get there.”
