When Mom says it’s spa day, you suffer through the indignity and let the groomers do their thing. When this black lab saw that the groomers were all ducks, she may have had second thoughts, but she sat still like a good girl and let them do their work.

We’re not sure why the ducks are grooming this black lab, but it appears to be something the dog is familiar with. The eclectic grooming team has two drakes, a mallard, and two domestic ducks. The original poster has a second grooming video with a yellow lab at the spa with the same crew.
In the animal world, grooming is standard for a “family.” Based on that premise, the labs and the ducks probably live together as a family. They are comfortable with one another’s company. Since the account is relatively new, perhaps we can discover more in the future. Hopefully, we will see more of these gentle pups. They are too cool on a spa day.
We know that many dogs have duck friends. We introduced you to Santi, a golden retriever who is “nanny” to ducks and chickens on his homestead. Not only does Santi make friends with all the animals, but he helps nurture and raise them. He even takes the ducks for walks through the woods and teaches them to play ding-dong-ditch. We’re not sure Santi taught them that, but how else could they have learned?
Whether you have a black lab, yellow lab, golden retriever, or a plain old Heinz-57 mutt, you should consider getting your dog some pet ducks. They’re fun to play with, easy to care for, and they help groom your dogs.
