Sadly, even though this precious piglet did her best, she just couldn’t run as fast as a herd of cows. They whooshed past the determined baby animal effortlessly, leaving her trotting behind them. Mom was actually pretty worried that she’d get stepped on!
Finally, the farmer had to intervene. She lured the piglet away from the cows with the promise of food.
“You can’t go chasing cows; we gotta go eat,” the woman told the baby pig sternly.
As soon as Mom mentioned eating, the tiny creature forgot all about keeping up with the cattle. She followed her owner obediently back to her enclosure, where she happily gobbled up her meal. In fact, the little piggy was so excited, she got food all over her face! Who needs cows when you have a delicious treat fit for a piglet sitting right in front of you?
Over three million people have watched this wholesome baby pig video. Commenters loved seeing the teeny piglet running after a herd of large cows!
“Immediately added to my happy videos collection for when I’m feeling down,” wrote one user.
According to the farmer, the adorable piglet in the clip is a Kunekune. The Maryland Zoo tells us that this breed comes to us from New Zealand (though it probably originally came from Asia), and its name means “fat and round” in Maori. These pigs tend to be both smaller and fatter than the average swine, and they come in a variety of colors. They’re also very amicable, which makes them excellent pets. No wonder this sweet little piglet wanted to make friends with all the cows!
