Prince William Pub

Prince William does many things well. He’s a fantastic husband, father, and not to mention an honorable leader. At just 42 years old, he’s experienced a lot, not the least of which was losing his mother and then facing his wife and father’s cancer diagnosis. He is nothing if not strong and noble, constantly working for the greater good. But when William has a moment to relax, he reminds us that he’s very similar to us regular folk. Recently, he was in Birmingham, home of the Aston Villa Football Club. Prince William decided to surprise fans and join them for a pint at a pub. According to the Daily Mail, he dropped into Wetherspoons, shocking Aston Villa fans.

Steve Jones, 56, told the Daily Mail that Aston Villa contacted him and other fans about meeting Prince William.

“We were contacted by the club saying Prince William wanted to meet a delegation of Villa fans as he was in Birmingham as he wanted to keep in the loop with everything going on at Villa,” Steve said.

He added Prince William drinking a beer with them at the pub was a special moment, “He was fantastic. I was quite amazed about how engaged he was with the club, his interest. He’s not a fair weather fan. He really loves the club with a passion.”

Rebecca English shared photos and video on X of the fun afternoon at Wetherspoons, “Prince William surprised pub-goers when he popped into a Wetherspoons at the train station in Birmingham today. He arranged a meet-up with a group of

@AVFCOfficialregulars while he was in the city to speak at the College of Paramedics conference and bought them a round.”

Tho’s fans loved it and thought seeing Prince William in a pub spoke volumes about the future monarch, “I think we all need to face facts: William’s coronation is probably going to be held at Villa Park, followed by a piss-up at the local Spoons. Times are changing, folks, and so is the vibe in our yard.”
