Princess Kate Glows During Her First Official Appearance Since Cancer Diagnosis

Princess Kate

Princess Kate attended Trooping the Colour today, which marks her first official appearance since her cancer diagnosis.

Kate Middleton attended the Trooping the Colour parade today (June 15) with her husband, Prince William, and three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte,9, and Prince Louis, 6. Glowing in a white dress and matching hat, she and her children took a horse-drawn carriage to Buckingham Palace where they joined William, King Charles, and Queen Camilla on the balcony to watch the procession and Royal Air Force flyover.

Trooping the Colour, which is an annual celebration that recognizes the king’s birthday, is the first public event that Princess Kate has attended since the royal Christmas party in 2023.

The princess stepped away from her duties after the holidays for a scheduled abdominal surgery and did not return to work as expected. In March, she announced that doctors had found cancer during the procedure and she would remain on leave while she underwent preventative chemotherapy.

Yesterday (June 14), Princess Kate released a statement sharing that she is “not out of the woods yet,” but she hopes to attend several summertime events. You can read her entire statement here.
