Trooping the Colour, which is an annual celebration that recognizes the king’s birthday, is the first public event that Princess Kate has attended since the royal Christmas party in 2023.
The princess stepped away from her duties after the holidays for a scheduled abdominal surgery and did not return to work as expected. In March, she announced that doctors had found cancer during the procedure and she would remain on leave while she underwent preventative chemotherapy.
