Princess Kate, Her Siblings, & Her Parents Have The Sweetest Saturday Tradition

Princess Kate tradition

One day, Princess Kate will be the Queen of England, as her husband, William, is heir to the throne. Kate didn’t grow up in the royal family but has certainly adjusted beautifully to her new life. But just because she spends much of her time with royal duties doesn’t mean she has forgotten her family. Quite the contrary, according to her brother, James Middleton, Kate and her family spend a lot of time together.

The Family Gathers Often For Tea At Kate’s Parents Home

Per People, James shared in the My Saturday column of the Telegraph that he, Kate, and their sister, Pippa Middleton, spend Saturdays together with their families. It is a big gathering at their parents’ home where everyone can enjoy each other.

The Middleton family cousins consist of Kate and William’s children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, Prince Louis, 6, Pippa and husband James Matthew’s children Arthur, 5, Grace, 3, and Rose, 2, and James and wife Alizee Thevent’s son, Inigo.

“We’ll often stop at my parents’ house for tea or supper. My sisters and I are all within 30 minutes’ drive, so there is often an aunt or a cousin passing through, too,” James wrote for the Telegraph. “The cousins all play their role in looking after Inigo — there’s seven of them altogether at the moment. I think they’re all impressed at how much of a mess Inigo can make. But there’s lots of laughter and giggles about.”

James said that even during the most challenging times in his life, he relied on his family.

Even when I had my depression I recognized the importance of family, and rather than one person being burdened with it all, it’s shared,” he wrote. “I think any challenge that a family goes through is one that brings them together.”
