“Well done on all you’ve achieved,” added William. “You’ve been an inspiration to us all.”
Princess Kate Continues To Focus On Her Health And Family
In the clip, Princess Kate wore a casual striped top and William donned a Team Great Britain polo and a brand new beard. The couple posted the video on their official The Prince And Princess Of Wales account on Sunday, August 11, just before the closing ceremony began.
“Well done @TeamGB,” they wrote in the caption. “What an incredible journey! Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart, and passion. You made us all so proud! Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @Paris2024 and looking forward to more from @ParalympicsGB later in the summer.”
There had been rumors that Kate and William would make personal appearances at the games, but the couple could not commit due to Kate’s ongoing cancer treatment. The princess has been undergoing chemotherapy for several months and has largely stepped away from her royal duties to focus on her health and spend time with her three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
