One mom was excited for her dog to meet her new baby, but this pooch wasn’t about to let the adorable bundle of joy sidetrack her from her mission. Before anything else could happen, Cedar needed to make sure that her owner was doing ok! In an incredibly precious video, a woman named Brooke attempted to introduce her little one to her four-legged friend. She couldn’t have been more touched by what the animal did next!

During their first meeting, the dog barely glanced at the baby in her owner’s arms. Instead, she immediately began sniffing the woman’s face. It almost seemed like she was saying, “Sure, the kid’s cute and all, but how are you doing?” Brooke was absolutely floored by Cedar’s concern.
“I’m okay,” she reassured the pooch.
As soon as the canine found out that all was well with her owner, she started lovingly nuzzling the human’s neck with her nose. If we had to guess what she was saying this time, it would probably be something like, “I know you’ve been through a lot, and I’m here for you!”
Brooke posted a video of this special moment on social media, and commenters were in tears over the cuteness!
“She really hugged and asked if her mama was ok,” one user wrote.
Another added, “Brooke I don’t want to cry before work.”
A third joked, “She said, ‘I don’t know this stranger baby. Are YOU ok?'”
While this meeting between the dog and the baby probably didn’t go quite how Brooke planned, we can’t imagine she was disappointed! Besides, Cedar has plenty of time to get to know the family’s newest member in the years to come. In the meantime, we know she’ll take good care of Mom.
