Man Calls Eerie Meeting With Legion Of Critters In His Yard

Image shows a group of raccoons having a meeting in the dark.

Looking out over the vast expanse of his yard, Josh called the meeting to order. The attendees were a bit unruly at first. Some refused to take seats and focus on the matter at hand, and there was a bit of a scuffle in the back of the crowd. Josh did his best to clamp down on the distractions and keep the meeting flowing. It isn’t easy to maintain order during a raccoon meeting.

These meetings are getting out of control

Josh lives in Chesterfield County, Virginia. The area is quite rural, and there is no shortage of wildlife, which prompted Josh to attempt to bring order and discipline to his yard. It didn’t work. The raccoons have no idea what Robert’s Rules are. Any attempt to explain proper meeting procedure receives nothing but a yardful of creepy stares. Unexpected noises can make the crowd go wild.

The raccoons hold meetings in Josh’s yard so often that he has named some of them. The largest is Chubby, apparently the only loyal one in the bunch. Or, perhaps Chubby is the most food-driven member of the posse since Josh feeds them regularly.

OMG, the animal drama is out of control. There are squirrels and at least one deer. The cat distribution system has also selected Josh. Squirrel Sandy is upset that Josh is still talking to Tabitha (who is Tabitha?). Meanwhile, the raccoons want all the snacks. They don’t like that Josh shares with the squirrels or eats many pretzels himself.

With no proper adjournment, the raccoon meeting ends. The attendees scatter to pillage the neighborhood in search of edible trash until the next meeting begins.
