The royal family certainly had a challenging 2024. With both King Charles and Kate Middleton fighting cancer, life wasn’t easy for anyone involved. But in true royal fashion, the family banded together, appearing stoic at times and at others very hopeful. Since marrying Prince William in 2011, Princess Kate has played a prominent role in the royal family. As the wife of the heir to the throne, many look up to her as a source of inspiration. She retreated from the public eye early in 2024 to focus on her health. But after announcing the completion of her cancer treatment in September, she’s returned to royal duties. Seeing Kate out and about in Great Britain has been a welcomed blessing to many royal family enthusiasts. She recently stopped to talk to one such individual about her cancer journey.

Kate Middleton Reflected About Her Cancer In A Candid Video
On Instagram, Karen Anvil shared the exchange between Princess Kate and her daughter, Rachel Anvil. She captioned the video, “Rachel got to speak to the Princess of Wales today!”
Rachel stopped to speak to Kate Middleton on Christmas morning.
“I started my career in the Macmillan cancer unit, and I just wanted to say, you’re an inspiration to all the patients,” Rachel shared.
Kate Middleton replied, “Thank you, honestly. The number of people who have written this year is extraordinary, and I think cancer just really does resonate with so many families.”
Kate added that Rachel and others do the hard work for cancer patients, and she is there to support the cause. Rachel and Karen then shared their support of the princess and said they would always be behind her. She graciously said, “Thank you.”
A fan wrote of the exchange, “Amazing moments as always! Merry Christmas from California!”
This person agreed, “Kind and supportive words.”
After sharing that her cancer treatment was over last fall, Kate Middleton said she’d return to her royal duties while continuing to focus on remaining cancer-free. It seems her Christmas wish has come true.
