It’s hard to believe Robin Williams has been gone for ten years. Though he’s no longer with us on earth, he made an indelible mark on our hearts. His fans certainly miss him, but our grief can’t compare to his family’s. Robin’s son, Zak, shared his love for his dad in a heartbreaking Instagram post on August 10, the anniversary of Robin’s passing.

Zak was Robin’s first-born son, and later, he welcomed a daughter, Zelda, and a son, Cody. Zak was 31 years old when his father passed away, just a year younger than his father was when he was born. The pair shared three decades, but as anyone who has lost a parent will tell you, it wasn’t enough.
“Dad, it’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years,” he began.
“Today, I’m reflecting on the immense love you shared with all of us—your family, your friends, and everyone you met. You continue to inspire me every single day to do whatever I can to help create a more connected and loving world for our family. Love you forever. ❤️”
Fans Shared Love With Zak And The Williams Family
This person wanted Zak to know how important his dad was to the world, writing, “The world is a better place because he was here. Even those who didn’t know him personally are happier, kinder human beings because of him. My thoughts are with you all.”
It’s hard to imagine an entire decade has passed without Robin. “Really? Ten years? Doesn’t seem possible! I remember your dad well in those clothes—I bought a pair of those rainbow suspenders! And I remember when you were born! He was an amazingly gifted human, your dad, and I’ve always thought there’s something missing in the world since he left it. Like a light went dim. Thanks to you, that light just got brighter!”
Always in our hearts and forever on our minds, Robin Williams was one of the best.
