“Me, Bear Grylls, The River Thames, and of course, The Holy Spirit,” he captioned.
Russell Brand recently converted to Christianity in an effort “to leave the past behind and be reborn in Christ’s name.” He took “the plunge” on April 28th.
“Faith and spiritual moments in our lives are really personal,” Bear wrote in a statement to The Daily Mail. “But it is a privilege to stand beside anyone when they express a humble need for forgiveness and strength from above. Friendships when we go through tough times are worth so much.”
Following the ceremony, Russell thanked Bear and his friend, Joe, for standing beside him during the “very intimate experience.”

“I must learn to unteather myself from the tendrils of selfishness, egotism, and self-centeredness and awaken to something greater,” he said in an X post that documented “week one as a Christian.”The Christianity that I’m learning about that is fascinating me, is not a precursor to psychiatry. It’s a precursor to quantum physics; it’s a precursor to to a way of understanding consciousness, a way of understanding reality very deeply.”
