Sure, planning for your kids to take photos with Santa sounds like a great plan in theory. Unfortunately, many times, things don’t exactly turn out as planned. At least that’s the case for younger kids. But when these three kiddos prepared to put a unique twist on their photos with good ole St. Nick, they were determined to carry it out perfectly.

Their inspiration? The Nightmare Before Christmas! If you aren’t aware, this Tim Burton film is an absolute classic. And because there’s a huge focus on both Halloween and Christmas, it’s perfect to watch during either season! So, rather than dressing as themselves, these clever kids dressed as Lock, Shock, and Barrel — you know, The Nightmare Before Christmas characters that kidnap Santa!

That’s right… these three kids dressed like characters who kidnap Santa. Best of all, they even brought a trash bag to put him in for a quick getaway! Okay, okay, so they didn’t have plans to actually kidnap Santa. But they certainly wanted to pretend they were going to for the photos!

When we imagine Santa at the mall, we typically think about the joy it will bring the kids who visit him. But in this situation, it seems that Santa himself had just as much fun, if not more fun, than the kids themselves!
