Merlin is a pig with a huge personality. This amazing talking pig lives with his “Mom,” Mina Alali, who works daily to improve his vocabulary. Mina also has a dog, a cow, rats, a pigeon, and a bearded dragon. Yes, you may label her on the eccentric side. But Merlin? He is all attitude, especially when this opinionated pig throws temper tantrums.

We’ve told you about Merlin before. His Mom was teaching him to read, and he was a quick study. Mina uses the talking buttons that many pet owners are using. The buttons are programmed with phrases that allow the animal to communicate. In Merlin’s case, his unique button cues are more complex than those of most animals.
The video begins with Merlin in mid-tantrum. After being told no, Merlin tries some backtalk, hitting the “I can” button several times. Mina holds firm, so the pig slowly walked off to have a tantrum. He went into the bathroom, politely closing the door. He can’t reopen it, so he twangs the spring on the doorstop to annoy Mina. That doesn’t make her give in, but she does open the door for him.
On another occasion, when Merlin wanted a vegetable snack, Mina quickly complied. However, that wasn’t enough for the hungry pig, who immediately requested another vegetable snack. When Mina refused, the pig slowly walked off to have a tantrum in the bedroom.
Mina talks to Merlin just like a parent with a child, scolding him that it’s not nice to shut the door in her face. He continues shutting the door in Mina’s face with pure teenage defiance. This Mom has her work cut out for her.
